Dov Ganchrow & Ami Drach, MAN MADE, BC-AC
Participants are introduced to the fundamental knowledge needed to rigorously approach a digital design-to-production workflow and are exposed to a creative and research-driven use of technology. By addressing the basic concepts of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, the course will shed light over different production techniques and their manifold cross-disciplinary use cases. Laser cutting, CNC milling and 3D printing will be explained and referenced to projects in the fields of art, design and architecture. After attending hands-on supervised demonstrations on the use of machines, students will be actively involved in design and prototyping exercises in the Modellbauwerkstatt.
